About 15 runners gathered at Rec Hall on the Penn State-University Park campus at 8:30 Thanksgiving morning for the NVRC's fifth annual food-bank run. Not a race, no times, no t-shirts.... just a sociable jog.

This year we ran to and around Beaver Stadium, then down to the outdoor track, did 4 laps, and returned for a total of about 5 miles. We collected 59 pounds of food and some financial support for the State College Area Food Bank. By the way, the staff there asks that we communicate their appreciation to the runners who contributed.
