Tussey Teaser #5 -  Bear Meadows Made In The Shade

Thirty runners took to the hills of the Bear Meadows Made-in-the-Shade run: 13 took the short route and 17 did the long version. Visitor and masters runner Dave Mengle, of New Canaan, NH, blew through the 7 miler in just under 52 minutes. Jen Finkle was the first lady finisher, coming in under 1:15.  Tim Spigelmyer cranked out the long course in 1:22:35. Tara Murray led the ladies, finishing in 1:32:59.
 
A record seven runners completed all five of the 2008 Tussey Teasers: Tom Beene, Kim Daniels, Sarah Farrant, Bob Jones, Marty Mazur, Christine Rodgers, and Denise Weaver. The coveted grand door prize, an ice cream cake (certificate) from Coldstone Creamery, went to Marty Mazur. Thanks to Mark Fedkin, Mark Traband and Bob Jones for helping with course setup, to Mark Fedkin for finish line recording, and to Marty Mazur and Vicki Summers for photography at the finish.

We couldn't do awards until the walkers finished.
